• Barrie Speedway
  Built in 1965, Barrie Speedway was the first paved stock car racing facility north of Toronto and has been home to Canada's most exciting stock car action ever since. • Borden Forces
  Base Borden will host a Canadian Forces Day and Air Show on Saturday 9 June and Sunday 10 June 2012. In addition the large number of military ground displays and specialty events, there will also also be an Air Show featuring the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, CF-18 Hornet Fighter Jet, the SkyHawks Parachute Team, Hawk One Sabre Jet, T-33 Silver Star Jet, Rick Volker Solo Aerobatics, the Iron Eagle Aerobatic Team, Manfred Radius Glider Aerobatics, Jane Wicker Wing Walking, Kent Pitch Comedy/Dead Stick Routine, P-40N KittyHawk and a Formation by the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association. On the ground Military School Displays, Forward Operating Base, Kiddie Commando Course, Jaws of Life Demonstration, High Risk Vehicle Stop Demo, Tanks, Borden Museum, Military Vehicles and Musical Bands. Gates open daily 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Adults 10.00. Special Family Rate $20.00 first two adults + $5.00 for each additional family member over 12 yrs. Seniors 60 yrs $5.00. • Elmvale Jungle Zoo
  Discover an exciting and educational outdoor adventure at the Elmvale Jungle Zoo 20 kilometres north of Barrie. View majestic lions, tigers, jaguars, monkeys and lemurs. Admire the beauty of rare and exotic birds and other wildlife in the natural surroundings of the park's 25 acres. • Georgian Downs
  Just south of Barrie; take in the races, enjoy a meal, play the slot machines, attend a special event. • The MacLarenArtCentre
  is a public art gallery located in downtown Barrie, Ontario. Their mission is to integrate the visual arts and culture within the community. The Centre presents a year-round programme of local, regional, national and international exhibitions of contemporary art, complemented by occasional exhibitions of historical and modern art. Exhibitions are presented both at the Centre and across the city as part of the MacLaren's ArtCity™ programme, which places permanent and temporary artworks throughout Barrie's public spaces. • Serendipity Princess Barrie Boat Cruise

Wonderful Attractions You Can Visit in Barrie

 

People enjoy Barrie attractions so much that they keep coming back. Every first of July, people flock to Kempenfelt to watch the spectacular fireworks. This is just one of the many colorful activities of the annual Canada Day holiday celebrating the birth of Canada on July 1, 1867.
